Disposable medical face mask, sourced and manufactured in Ireland. Meets EN14683 Class 1 criteria.

We all know why face masks are important. We all are wearing them and given the current global pandemic. Everything we can do to reduce the risk should be done. The wearing of a face mask in close quarter situations, safe social distancing is not possible e.g. public transport services, helps to reduce the spread of virus-loaded droplets. This helps to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19.

MNP or Medical Nose-Mouth Protection is more widely known as a “surgical mask”. The industrial capacity production of MNP must meet stringent regulations in providing protection against various infections. The filtering capability of these are similar to those used every day.

Appropriately Wearing A Disposable Medical Face Mask:

According to the World Health Organisation (2020): “Wearing medical masks when not indicated may cause unnecessary cost, procurement burden and create a false sense of security that can lead to neglecting other essential measures such as hand hygiene practices. Furthermore, using a mask incorrectly may hamper its effectiveness to reduce the risk of transmission.”

  1. Place mask carefully to cover mouth and nose.
  2. Tie securely to minimise any gaps between the face and the
    mask.
  3. While in use, avoid touching the mask.
  4. Remove the mask by using appropriate technique (i.e. do
not touch the front but remove the lace from behind).
  5. After removal or whenever you inadvertently touch a used mask.
  6. Clean hands by using an alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water if visibly soiled.
  7. Replace masks with a new clean, dry mask as soon as they become damp/humid. Do not re-use single-use masks.
  8. Discard single-use masks after each use and dispose of them immediately upon removal.
